Computer‐Aided Marine Propeller Inspection Data Analysis

Major advances have been made in recent years in marine propeller design and manufacturing technology. These advances have allowed accompanying major advances in propeller inspection data analysis technology.

This paper describes the current state of propeller inspection analysis technology as incorporated in the recently developed software, PROPAR. New analytical capabilities implemented in the software, including localized contour and hydrodynamic parameter analyses, provide propeller manufacturing and design engineers with previously unavailable insight into machined propeller shape and expected propeller performance.
