Dendrogyra cylindrus sexual recruits have been reared ex situ, however, no record of recruits surviving outplanting to the reef exist. We report recruit survival after one year of outplanting to a nursery, proving D. cylindrus can overcome post-settlement bottlenecks in situ and indicating larval propagation might help restore this species.
