Multi-symbiosis, like that between corals and sipunculid worms, is common in coral reefs. A recent study reported a shift in association, wherein a hermit crab replaces a sipunculid worm. We report moving ball-shaped Porites corals associated with the hermit crab, Calcinus latens, in the seagrass beds of Dongsha Atoll, Taiwan.
