On the Validity of the Eastern Pacific Labrid Fishes Thalassoma Grammaticum Gilbert and T. Virens Gilbert
Three species of labrid fishes of the genus Thalassoma occur in the eastern Pacific Ocean: T. grammaticum, T. lucasanum (T. steindachneri, a synonym), and T. Wrens (T. socorroense, a synonym). Previous records of the Indo-Pacific T. lutescens
from the eastern Pacific represent misidentifications of T. grammaticum.
