abstract = "Predation data on juvenile conchs were gathered during 19801983 in the Berry Islands, Bahamas, including new information on the role of important predators of conchs. Juvenile conchs exhibit behavioral patterns that suggest strategies to reduce predation, such as concentrating
in shallow waters out of reach of large predators, and burying during early juvenile stages (to approximately 1 year of age). Predation rate on juvenile conchs was estimated to be about 60% annually. Survival, based on tag recoveries, increases with increasing conch shell length.",
