Juvenile conchs exhibit behavioral patterns that suggest strategies to reduce predation, such as concentrating in shallow waters out of reach of large predators, and burying during early juvenile stages (to approximately 1 year of age). Predation rate on juvenile conchs was estimated to be about 60% annually. Survival, based on tag recoveries, increases with increasing conch shell length.", }
