Odontozona striata, a new species of stenopodid shrimp from the western coast of Cuba is described and figured. This is the first species of the genus Odontozona recorded from the Western Atlantic. Odontozona striata is closely related to O. sculpticaudata from the Indo-Pacific but is easily distinguished by differences of the rostrum and spinulation of the body. A key is given for the known species of Odontozona along with a table of some morphological characters.
