Design of an Oil and Gas Processing Plant by Using Dynamic Simulations
This study focusses on removing the fire insulation from pipes in a real oil and gas processing plant. To evaluate the pipes from which the fire insulation can be removed, a comparison between the pipe blow-down pressure and the hoop stress pressure has been performed for each pipe. The total fire insulation area of 763 m2 can be removed from the pipes in the plant.
