1H NMR Spectra of Platinum(II) Complexes Containing Piperidine and Another Amine
1H NMR spectra of a series of cis-[Pt(Pip)(Am)Cl2] complexes (Pip=piperidine, Am=another amine) have been recorded and analyzed. Spin-spin splitting patterns of nonequivalent protons , , , , , and of piperidine have been designated. The piperidine ring has a chair confirmation with the nitrogen atom bound to the Pt atom in an equatorial manner; the examined complexes have a cis-configuration, with the plane of aromatic amine and the piperidine ring perpendicular to the coordination plane of Pt(II).
