From the fruits of Celastrus orbiculatus Thunb. a new -dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpene ester named 1,2,13-triacetoxy-9α-cinnamoyloxy--dihydroagarofuran ( 1 ) has been isolated along with two known compounds, 6α-acetoxy-1,9-dibenzoyloxy-8-hydroxy--dihydroagarofuran ( 2 ), and 1, 6α-diacetoxy-9-benzoyloxy-8-hydroxy--dihydroagarofuran ( 3 ). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data.
