Field Tests of New Generation Hydraulic Deep Penetration Technology

This article, based on the previous study on the mechanism of the hydraulic deep penetration, developed the new downhole tools of the hydraulic deep penetration. According to the practical condition of Jiangsu oilfield, the authors investigated on how to choose the well and determine the hydraulic parameters and the downhole bottom hole assembly, worked out the appropriate fluid additives and operation process, calculated the tubing elongation, and matched the fluid/operating parameters with the field equipment. The field test showed that this technology can be applied in such wells as inclination 45° and had a significant contribution to the production enhancement. The perforation depth could be up to 2 m with a penetration rate of 2 m/h.
