Polyclonal Antibody Production Against Chito-Oligosaccharides
Chitin hexamer was conjugated to mono-BOC-diaminoethane, -aminobutyric acid or glycine using reductive amination. Each hapten was conjugated to ovalbumin (OVA) or mouse serum albumin (MSA) for immunization and immunoassay, respectively. Serum from a mouse immunized with the diaminoethane conjugate, demonstrated competition with chitins in a modified indirect immunoassay.
