The study of sebkhet Mechiguig and morphostratigraphic levels dominate permitted to situate the beginning of its formation toward the end of the lower Pleistocene. The sebkha knew an alternation of accumulation phases associated to humid throbbings separated by 5 digging phases of bound to aridification periods. His evolution is rhythmic by an alternation of the runoff and aeolian action. The substitution of a fine sedimentation to the deposits conglomerates Pleistocene's translates an attenuation of the importance of the humid throbbings since the beginning of the Holocene. The confrontation of the morphological and sédimentologic characteristics of the inherited and present aeolian accumulations seem to indicate that the active winds, the sands and salts displacement kept, since the period of the gills civilization, the dominate directions that are theirs during the present arid period, from the west South to the west North.
