A new species of Sporidesmiopsis and three new records of other dematiaceous hyphomycetes from southern China
A new species of dematiaceous hyphomycetes, Sporidesmiopsis guangxiensis, is described and illustrated. It is characterized by its macronematous conidiophores with branches at the apex and conidiogenous cells arising on both stipe and branches. Its euseptate conidia are larger than those of S. goanensis, but smaller than those of the other species of the genus. A key to Sporidesmiopsis species is provided. Bahusandhika indica, Gangliostilbe indica, and Guedea novae-zelandiae are newly recorded from China.
