Checklist and Red List of Bryophytes of Romania
This paper presents a checklist of the bryophytes of Romania and a Bryophyte Red List of Romania. 979 bryophyte species are recorded for Romania, of these, 4 are hornworts, 217 liverworts and 758 mosses. The conservation status of bryophytes was assessed in accordance with the IUCN guidelines 2011, version 9.0. The Red list includes 374 threatened species, 157 are "Critically Endangered", 113 "Endangered" and 104 "Vulnerable" species.
