A monograph of the marine diatom genus Toxonidea Donkin (Bacillariophyta)
A revision of the genus Toxonidea Donkin using light and electron microscopy is presented. Species descriptions of all twelve species are provided, six of which are described here as new: T. concava, T. devexa, T. egyptensis, T. humeae, T. neapolitana and T. rotundata. A key to all species of the genus is provided.
