Three new species of Aquaticola (Ascomycetes) from tropical freshwater habitats
The new species Aquaticola longicolla, A. triseptata and A. minutiguttulata are described from tropical freshwater habitats in the tropics. Aquaticola longicolla and A. minutiguttulata differ in producing long-necked ascomata, while A. triseptata is unique in having 3-septate ascospores. These taxa are compared with similar species and the genus is reviewed synoptically.
