abstract = "In this paper, I describe the first 2 years of intensive psychotherapy of a multiply traumatized 5-year-old girl. I explore some of the ways in which violent and traumatic experiences were re-lived in the therapy and how they impacted on both patient and therapist. Within the discussion and illustrated by clinical vignettes, I consider the importance of play, not only as a vehicle for symbolic communication or as a means of re-playing and re-working internal object relationships, but also as the arena in which new experiences can be forged into internal reality, often for the first time. I also hope to raise for further consideration questions about the complex and disturbing experiences, pressures and technical dilemmas that are frequently encountered in such work.Dans cet article, l'auteur d{\’e}crit les deux premi{\‘e}res ann{\’e}es de la psychoth{\’e}rapie intensive d'une fillette de cinq ans ayant subi des traumatismes multiples. Il explore la fa{\c{c}}on dont cette exp{\’e}rience violente et traumatique a pu {\^e}tre r{\’e}actualis{\’e}e dans la th{\’e}rapie, ainsi que son impact sur la patiente et sur le th{\’e}rapeute. Cet expos{\’e}, illustr{\’e} par des vignettes cliniques, lui permet d'{\’e}tudier l'importance de l'activit{\’e} ludique. Le jeu ne sert pas seulement {\‘a} communiquer un message symbolique ou {\‘a} remettre en sc{\‘e}ne et {\‘a} r{\’e}{\’e}laborer des relations d'objet internes ; il ouvre un espace dans lequel de nouvelles exp{\’e}riences peuvent {\^e}tre int{\’e}gr{\’e}es dans la r{\’e}alit{\’e} int{\’e}rieure, parfois pour la premi{\‘e}re fois. L'auteur esp{\‘e}re contribuer ainsi {\‘a} la discussion concernant les v{\’e}cus, les pressions et les dilemmes techniques complexes et troublants rencontr{\’e}s dans ce type de travail.In questo articolo descrivero' i primi due anni di psicoterapia intensiva di una bambina di 5 anni che subi' un trauma multiplo. Esplorero' alcuni dei modi in cui le esperienze violente e traumatiche furono rivissute in terapia e quale impatto ebbero su di me e sulla paziente. Considerero' nella discussione e tramite vignette, qual'e' l'importanza del gioco non solo come veicolo per una comunicazione simbolica o come mezzo per rivivere e rielaborare le relazioni oggettuali interne, ma anche come arena nella quale le nuove esperienze possano, spesso per la prima volta, forgiare la realta' interna. Spero anche di sollevare, per ulteriore considerazione, problematiche relative a esperienze complesse e disturbanti, alle pressioni e ai dilemmi tecnici che cosi' spesso si incontrano in questo tipo di lavoro.In diesem Artikel beschreibe ich die ersten zwei Jahre intensiver Psychotherapie eines f{\"u}nf-j{\"a}hrigen M{\"a}dchens, das vielfach traumatisiert war. Ich exploriere einige der Arten, in denen gewaltsame und traumatische Erlebnisse in der Therapie wiedererlebt wurden und wie sie sowohl die Patientin wie den Therapeuten betrafen. Innerhalb der Diskussion und illustriert mit Fallvignetten er{\"o}rtere ich die Bedeutung des Spiels, nicht nur als Vehikel f{\"u}r symbolische Kommunikation oder als Mittel des Wiederspielens und Wiederdurcharbeitens von inneren Objektbeziehungen, sondern auch als die Arena, in der neue Erlebnisse oft zum ersten Mal in innerer Realit{\"a}t geformt werden k{\"o}nnen. Ich hoffe auch Fragen {\"u}ber die komplexen und aufw{\"u}hlenden Erlebnisse, den Druck und die technischen Dilemmas, die h{\"a}ufig in solcher Arbeit angetroffen werden, zur weiteren {\"U}berlegung aufzuwerfen.",
