The school of square holes: turning access into success
The creation of the School of Extended Learning at Concordia University to address the challenges of accessibility and diversity - while enabling the Faculties to focus efforts and resources on their primary mission - might seem controversial. In the face of many institutions continuing
to rely on Faculty-based approaches Concordia has taken a bold step forward. This overview will describe the innovative practices and expected benefits that have come about since the establishment of the School five years ago in its response to evolving demands on higher education.
