Die lokale Umsetzung der Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ist für Kommunen eine große Herausforderung. Doch wie können Stadtpolitik und -verwaltung unterstützt werden, damit urbane Nachhaltigkeitstransformationen gelingen? Ein Dialogprozess zwischen Wissenschaft und Praxis, organisiert vom Deutschen Komitee für Nachhaltigkeitsforschung in Future Earth, hat gezeigt, dass kommunale Politik und Verwaltung und die Wissenschaft stärker kooperieren sollten. Damit der Wissenstransfer angeregt und verstetigt werden kann, sollten weitere Förderprogramme auf den Weg gebracht werden.

    Environmental problems cannot be solved by one academic discipline. The complex natures of these problems require cooperation across disciplinary boundaries.
