What Is Wealth?
Wealth is more than the accumulation of money and resources, and it can be generated in ways other than through conventional financial means. In order to truly capture the wealth of our societies, our cultures and our environments, we have to pay heed to that older notion of wealth as well-being. We might think that winning the lottery will make us wealthy and that wealth will make us happy, but we also know that it doesn't always work that way. While it's true that poverty does make for unhappiness, lots of money doesn't necessarily buy happiness.
