NAPICU (National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care Units)
NAPICU is a not-for-profit multidisciplinary organization, formally established in 1996. NAPICU is committed to developing and promoting the speciality of psychiatric intensive care and low secure services. It is dedicated to improving patient experience and outcomes, and to encouraging staff support and development. NAPICU publishes the Journal of Psychiatric Intensive Care as a key part of its mission to promote research, education and practice development. It also publishes a newsletter, organizes quarterly meetings and annual conferences, develops training initiatives and disseminates information internationally via its website.
