Inverter-fed asynchronous motors represent today a source of disturbance in electric drives, because they irradiate outside their frames electromagnetic waves with different frequencies. Knowledge of the disturbances generated inside the drive is necessary. In the paper the influence of the sampling time on the distortion between predicted and actual armature current is evaluated on the basis of an analytical calculus procedure, that allows for an easy evaluation of the harmonic contents of the currents. This is the first step towards the evaluation of the causes of environmental electromagnetic disturbances.
