EM Fields and the Meaning of Meaning Response to Jonathan C.W. Edward
Edwards raises several interesting points about my interpretation of the meaning within the framework of the conscious electromagnetic information (CEMI) field theory. He accepts several of the basic premises of the CEMI field theory and accepts the argument that meaning has a binding
problem. However, he criticizes my claim that 'knowing' must correspond to the output of neurons, not, as he argues, their input. I criticize the viewpoint that neuronal inputs can correspond to conscious thoughts and argue that the seat of meaning must indeed reside in the brain's
electromagnetic field
