All four volumes are marked in the bottom margin as Nanhai Sea He Xichi the compiler. In fact, He Zhijiao compiled Volume Two and Four and Monk Seng Huchan added Volume Three Pulse Diagnosis Chart. This book is also named as What Sons Need to Know in Rhymes due to the rhythmical language and odes and songs employed in Volume One, Two and Four.
