T. and Hua, Li", abstract = "The propagation properties of acoustical directional coupler of constant gap are studied. Three interesting results are obtained: (1) Even modes and odd modes phase velocities propagating in acoustical directional coupler with constant gap, respectively, as functions of acoustical waveguide width and acoustical directional coupler gap, at the frequency of the surface acoustic wave (SAW) fac = 170 MHz and acoustical waveguide width w = 110 m. (2) Coupling coefficient of acoustical directional coupler with constant gap, as a function of acoustical waveguide width and acoustical directional coupler gap, at fac = 170 MHz and acoustical waveguide width w = 110 m waveguide width. (3) Coupling length dependence of gap, of acoustical directional coupler with constant gap, and good agreement between simulation and experiment is achieved. These conclusions are useful for the design of tapered acoustical directional coupler for acousto-optical interaction devices for wavelength division multiplexer (WDM).", }
