Study of Polymer Ultrasonic Transducer and Complex Ultrasonic Transducer with PZT/PVDF Multi-Layer Structure
In this paper, using KLM model with internal losses, the effects of piezoelectric film on the input power loss and pulse-echo response of transducer were analysed. Two kinds of ultrasonic transducers were designed and fabricated. One is a spherically focused ultrasonic transducer composed of PVDF film. Another is a complex ultrasonic transducer with PZT/PVDF multi-layer structure. The theoretical and experimental results show that these two kinds of transducers have their own advantages in medical diagnoses.
