Some Experiments in Analysis and Synthesis of Vowels in Time Domain
Certain results concerning the generation of periodic sounds in time domain are given in the paper. Voice synthesis is performed assuming that a certain microsegment of a given voice is a carrier of primary articulation information. For the analysis of microsegment samples average power density spectrum between microsegment samples and a larger part of a voice is performed and then integral mean square error is calculated between the correlation function of the average spectrum of a voice element and the autocorrelation function corresponding to a particular microsegment. Although there are certain deviations due to non-ideal periodicity of natural sounds, the clarity of the generated synthetic voices justifies this research.
