
Ultrasonic Absorption in Binary Liquid Mixtures of Unassociated Liquids
The ultrasonic absorption coefficient of three binary liquid mixtures with varying concentration of 1-2 dichloro propane in benzene, carbon tetrachloride and carbon disulphide respectively, has been studied at a frequency of 22.5 MHz using pulse technique. A close agreement has been
found in all the three mixtures between the experimental values of absorption coefficient at different concentrations and those calculated using the Bauer-Sette formula, when the rotational isomeric relaxation frequency of 1-2 dichloropropane is employed.
