abstract = "The experiment was undertaken to find out more about the question of the nuisance value of noises as well as clarification of the loudness objective and subjective influences. Through subjective comparison with a broadband uniform noise source various noises were judged with uniformly-excited
as well as impulse-excited frequency groups, on the one hand with regard to loudness and on the other with regard to nuisance. The results show that by uniform-frequency group stimulation no difference is found between loudness and the judgment of nuisance, by impulse-excited frequency groups
on the other hand a nuisance component was felt besides the loudness.",
