Interpretation and Reconstruction: Philosophical Spirit of Wang Chuanshan

The book is focused on Wang Chuanshan's Interpretation of Four Books, thereby to analyze the overall perspective of Chuanshan's philosophy. Wang Chuanshan played a very important role in the history of Chinese philosophy as the critic of Neo and the whole Chinese traditional philosophy. The book views "Classic and interpretation" as the research approach. It commits to study Chuanshan's philosophical interpretation of the Four Books and his critical inheritance of the interpretation of Neo-Taoism. It highlight the moral theory ,mind theory, labor theory, exegesis, tries to present the significance of Confucianism and Neo thinking as part of Chuanshan' s philosophy and clarify the association between the thought and the Neo-Taoist movement. Some commentators believe that before Chen Lai's book, Chuanshan's research has been under the coverage of the Enlightenment thought and the dialectical materialism. Chuanshan's anti-Taoism is still not easy to shake. The book unequivocally put forward the explanative model of "orthodox reconstruction".
