New records of clearwing moths (Sesiidae) from Australia are presented. Trilochana smaragdina Diakonoff 1954 was known only from a single female from West Papua (Irian Jaya). This species is redescribed here on the basis of a series of males recently collected in Queensland. It is the first record of the tribe Sesiini and the genus Trilochana for Australia. Males of another species, Nokona carulifera ( Hampson 1919) comb. n., have been found for the first time at the same locality and are also characterised here. Nokona coracodes ( Turner 1922) comb. n. is restored from synonymy. The genus Pseudosesia Felder 1861 is redefined and restored from synonymy with Paranthrene Hübner [1819]. An updated checklist of the Sesiidae of Australia is presented.
