The Musée National de l'Histoire de l'Immigration: a museum without a collection

Affiliations: Hélène Lafont-Couturier is director of the museum at the Cité nationale de l'histoire de l'immigration where she is responsible for constituting the collections and creating the permanent installation. A specialist in nineteenth- and twentieth-century painting, she has written numerous articles on exhibitions that she has curated, notably, in 2003, Vénus et Caïn – Figures de la préhistoire, 1830–1930.
