Affiliations: 1: Marie-Christine Volovitch-Tavares holds professional secondary and university teaching qualifications in history, and a doctorate in history from the Université de Paris III, Sorbonne nouvelle. Her present research concerns the history of Portuguese immigration in France, as a researcher attached to the Bibliothèque de documentation internationale contemporaine (Contemporary International Research Library) at the Université de Paris X Nanterre and as a member of the Immigration Research Group at the Centre d'Histoire de Sciences Politiques (History of Political Science Centre). 2: Dominique Stoenesco teaches Portuguese at secondary-school level. He has taught Portuguese juridicial law at the Université de Paris XII Val-de-Marne for eleven years. He also edits the review Latitudes – Cahiers Lusophones.
