Characterization of Antibody-Binding Sites on Proteins: Development of a Knowledgebase and Its Applications in Improving Epitope Prediction
Immunoinformatics provides tools for reverse vaccinology and encompasses development of knowledge bases and algorithms for prediction of epitopes. AgAbDb, a database archiving molecular interactions of antigen-antibody cocrystal structures, has been developed (http://220.127.116.11:8080/agabdb2/). Analyses of antibody-binding sites on proteins helped to fine-tune the parameters for prediction of sequential and conformational B-cell epitopes.

More about this publication?
- Protein & Peptide Letters publishes short papers in all important aspects of protein and peptide research, including structural studies, recombinant expression, function, synthesis, enzymology, immunology, molecular modeling, drug design etc. Manuscripts must have a significant element of novelty, timeliness and urgency that merit rapid publication. Reports of crystallisation, and preliminary structure determinations of biologically important proteins are acceptable. Purely theoretical papers are also acceptable provided they provide new insight into the principles of protein/peptide structure and function.
