British Agricultural History Society

The Society was founded in 1952 to publish the Review, and its aims also include the promotion of the history of agricultural and rural society, and of the conservation of our agricultural heritage. As well as the Review it publishes a bi-annual newsletter, Rural History Today and amongst other activities, organises an annual residential Spring conference and a themed day conference each December. In 2010 the Society also sponsored the international conference, Rural History 2010, which led to the formation of an European Rural History Society. Membership is open to all, and details of how to join, as well as much other information, is to be found on the Society's web site
