Based on crop growth simulation and sensor network technology, the information collection using wireless network sensor was combined with optimization and decision making from crop models (including the protected cultivated tomato growth models, optimization models of protected tomato cultivation and environment), and low-cost intellectualized sensor network terminator. It set the stage to fulfill quick capture and processing of space-time data of protected cultivated tomato with large-scale low-cost high precision, strong error toleration, wireless remote monitoring, intellectualized decision making, and controlling of protected cultivated tomato with handing, semiautomatic, and automatic. In that the protected cultivated tomato growth models mainly included phenophase model, leaf number model, fruit growth and plant dry matter model, leaf area index and yield formation model, and fruit number per plant model, and the optimization models of protected tomato cultivation and environment mainly included optimum plant dry matter model, optimum leaf area index, optimum yield formation model, optimum air temperature model in the protected cultivation, optimum air humidity model in the protected cultivation, optimum light intensity model in the protected cultivation, optimum soil moisture model in the protected cultivation, and optimum plant nitrogen model in the protected cultivation, etc.
