Electro-Refraction in Standard and Symmetrically Coupled Ge/SiGe Quantum Wells
Electro-refraction in standard (sQW) and coupled (cQW) Ge/SiGe quantum wells grown on Si have been investigated by means of optical transmission measurements performed on planar waveguides. The anomalous Quantum confined Stark Effect observed in the coupled quantum well structure strongly
enhance the electro-refractive effect with respect to sQW.
