
Feynman on Quantum Simulation—Rush to Judgement
We reconsider Feynman's comments on the need for quantum computation in today's computing environment. Contrary to his assertions, we find that the degree of computational difficulty is quite similar in both quantum simulations and in classical simulations for a wide range of problems.
The exception might well be in the dramatically expanded set of states necessary to handle the full electron–electron interaction.
