Stagnation-Point Flow Past a Permeable Stretching/Shrinking Sheet

The stagnation-point flow past a permeable stretching/shrinking sheet is studied. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations which are then solved numerically using MATLAB built in problem solver bvp4c. Numerical results are obtained for various values of the suction/injection parameter S and the stretching/shrinking parameter λ, while the Prandtl number is fixed at Pr = 1. Both stretching and shrinking cases are considered. It is found that dual solutions exist for the shrinking sheet, while the solution is unique for the stretching case.
