Sarong clothing is worn during functions as well as social purposes and often demonstrates a person’s ethnic origin. Though the quest about the distinctiveness of sarongs in contemporary mode is still uncertain due to revolution of clothing culture, the continuation change seems
to have been relatively overlooked in indicating about sarongs compared to the others objects. Indeed, the exception studies involving the Malay identity need to resurgence the boundaries post-colonial states. Indeed, the design influences have come about through the multicultural interactions
to investigate the features of multicultural influences in sarongs design and to analyse design features that is embedded through the usual design process. The new features are examined through the types of motifs, the use of colours and the concept of patterns behind the motifs that have
emerged between unique design and its origin of cultural contexts. Examples of sarongs were gathered, in order to classify the significant characteristics, which displays rich variations in design. The outcome of the findings will be used as a benchmark to indicate the notion of national identity
and also the fusion of different cultural aesthetics. significantly, design compilation of selected examples of sarongs will include visual images and drawings.
