Traditional Flower Bath as an Inspiration into Creative Visual Artwork

Flower bath is part of the beauty treatment before the steam baths and traditional massage. As compared to the prior Malay practice, flower bath is a ritual practice that has to be carried out or remove any uncomfort matter, avoid the interference of evil spirits and many others. Hence, bathing with a certain flower is partly a tradition for Malay culture either in Malaysia or Indonesia. The significant of the flower bath throughout scientific approach is actually linked as to reduce fatigue and body odor. This study aims to react in how the essence of natural environment significantly benefit to healthiness and beauty. Investigation begins with an observation throughout the whole process of traditional flower bath within the correlated data. And also the function of sarong, which is worn during the flower bath procedure. Then, the formulation and interpretation were conducted into several compositions with an appropriate style, engaged with an analysis that tied with content and contexts, medium, material and experiment through the art making process. Thus, the artworks that are invented from kind of flower bath tradition and also the function of sarong that is worn during the shower. This study, we believe that this is a platform on how the artist formulated any artwork that represents nationality, identity and culture.
