The objectives of the research were to analyze the relation between the role of social capital, community participation and CDR. Methods: The case study was conducted in Sukoharjo District Central Java Province of Indonesia, we analyzed the CDR coverage in 80 villages out of 167 villages. A cross-sectional study using mixed-method was done on 80 health volunteers and 40 health workers. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The study showed that there was a positive relationship between social capital and CDR. Every 1 point of increase in social capital rate would increase 1.0% CDR rate (b = 1.04, CI 95% 0.45 1.63, p = 0.001). There was a positive relationship between community participant and CDR. Every 1 point of increase in community participation rate would increase 1.9% CDR rate (b = 1.96, CI 95% 0.75 3.16, p = 0.002). The role of social capital includes trust and sense of belonging, advice, attention, communication, contribution, and cooperation, social links, encouragement, community network and association. The role of community participation includes the ability to identify TB, leadership, mobilize resources and allocate funds, organizing activities, mobilize the community. Conclusions: Social capital and community participation were contributed to improve CDR. We recommended that efforts to increase social capital and community participation to improve the CDR has to be conducted.", }
