abstract = "The Korea and the EU have recently established the fundamental legal infrastructures that provide favorable environments to the bilateral cooperation in various areas. The cooperation in the economic and trade field is based on the Korea-EU Free Trade Agreement. The Framework Agreement
provides a wide range of cooperation on the international concerns including human rights, terrorism, climate change, energy security, science and technology innovation, education and environment. Furthermore, the two Parties also made the Agreement establishing a framework for the participation
of Korea in EU crisis management operations. The triple layers of the Korea-EU agreements may provide the legal frameworks to expand their cooperation areas from traditional economic and political fields to other new and sensitive fields such as development assistance.",
