A Study on Development of Traffic Accident Public Data Analysis System Using Hadoop

This study began with the idea that there is an urgent need to call attention to drivers and pedestrians. In this respect, this study collected and analyzed the data of car and bicycle accidents from the government public database, which is a big data set of years of car and bicycle accident history. And this study used Hadoop to analyze the status of car accidents by road etc. and visualized them. In addition, the results are provided in form of hybrid web so that users can obtain the statistics of car accidents on any spot they want to know about through a web site and smartphone. The resultant information is presented in form of text, table and graph. To achieve the objective, this study classified and analyzed the pubic data with Hadoop, saved in NOSQL (MongoDB), visualized the results through R-Studio to users in webpage format. Users can easily obtain the accident information on a location they want to know. Results of this paper are provided users with digitalized statistics of car accidents in visualized format. Therefore, the results from this study will contribute to increasing awareness of car accident and preventing safety accidents by providing more information of car accidents and road where they happened to users.
