Transformation of Waqf Implementation at Malaysian Public Universities

In Malaysia, Waqf started from traditional endowments, including land, buildings, schools, mosques and consists of fixed assets. However, the development of the endowment has grown along with the development of the country in which the changes in waqf activities that are more focused on cash waqf are more effectively. The type of waqf includes the waqf property and cash waqf. The cash waqf is divided into two such as Waqf Shares Model and Corporate Cash Waqf Model. Today, the implementation of waqf model is rapidly growing at the higher education institutions. Study reveals that the higher education institution are now committed towards the implementation of waqf activities at their institutions.
