The method is investigated to analyze the physical feature and volume of a drop through fitting contour curve of the drop picture. The instrument introduced here is easily to constructed, and also can be used to measure the interfacial tension by the method of drop volume. Furthermore, a pendant drop tensiometry apparatus aided by video-image digitization technology was established, by which static interface or surface tension of some liquids was measured with satisfactory results. Extensive experiments were carried out to evaluate the accuracy and applicability of the instrument in interfacial tension measurement. The results showed that this method can measure the interfacial tension simply, quickly and accurately. The method is especially applicable for non-contact measurement in the experiments.", }
