Metallic Silver Nanowire of High Aspect Ratio: Formation and Mechanism
We have obtained continuous metallic silver nanowires of high aspect ratio in glass-nanocomposite templates using a newly developed current-controlled electrodeposition technique. The grown nanowires are aligned parallel to each other and are metallic in nature. The metallic nature
of these nanowires was confirmed from the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity. We have demonstrated the mechanism of formation of these nanowires in glass-nanocomposite templates.
