Towards Design and Development of Next-Generation Nanomedicine Filters: Analysis of Low Velocity Impact of Nano-Germs on Graphene Sheets

Research in the area of filters to prevent harmful substances from entering the body has recently received widespread attention with its great potential in nano-medicine. In order to achieve this goal, in this paper low-velocity impact of nano-germs on viscoelastic orthotropic graphene sheet (VOGS) resembling a nanomedicine filter is presented. For this, third-order shear deformation theory is adopted and the viscoelastic material is modeled by Kelvin-Voigt theory. Based on the extended Hamilton's principle and the nonlocal theory, the equations of motion are derived. VOGS is embedded in viscoelastic medium as a washer which is simulated by visco Pasternak foundation model. Results of a detailed parametric study demonstrate that the effects of nonlocal parameters, structure damping and elastic modulus of have significant effect on lateral deflection of nano-filter. It is expected that the results of this analysis will be useful in the design and development of nextgeneration of nanomedicine filters.
