Geographical Information Systems for Automation of Shipboard Power Systems
The geographical information system (GIS) is a computerized system designed to capture, store, process, analyze and manipulate characteristic and spatial data. Shipboard power systems consist of components which are spread across the ship and are located at different geographical locations. This paper presents the design and development of a GIS modeling methodology for shipboard power systems and discusses some applications that use GIS models for shipboard power systems.
