Implementing an Antimicrobial Stewardship Program
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is expected to expand requirements for antimicrobial stewardship in nursing facilities during 2016. Many facilities are looking to pharmacists to help them take the initial steps toward developing these coordinated programs to promote
the appropriate use of antimicrobials.
